Beck is passionate about all areas of public interest law and is developing a broad litigation practice in constitutional, administrative, and civil law. Beck recently completed a clerkship at the BC Supreme Court, and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2023.

Beck received a JD from the University of Ottawa. During law school, Beck was a Dean’s Legal Research Fellow and Legal Writing Academy Leader and worked as a Research Assistant exploring the intersections of intellectual property, race, and gender, including Indigenous traditional knowledge and data sovereignty. Beck also completed an intensive research placement in privacy law and policy.

Beck gained valuable public interest advocacy experience while involved with the Environmental Law Clinic and the Prison Law Clinic, as well as while volunteering for the Jail Accountability and Information Line (JAIL) Hotline supporting prisoners at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre. Beck had the privilege of building community as Co-President of the Level Justice uOttawa chapter, VP Advocacy of the Asian Law Students’ Society, and mentor for the Queer Peer Program and the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program.

Beck holds an interdisciplinary BA and BSc in environmental studies from McGill University. Before attending law school, Beck spent time conducting environmental field research, working as an urban farmer, and volunteering as a support worker at a rape crisis centre.
